PLUG Meeting November - Elementary OS / Home networking.

The elegant and streamlined Linux distribution elementary OS has a new release with tonnes of unseen core improvements and some cool new features. Past President Jason Wallwork will show off these new improvements as well as some changes in included apps. In addition Brian will be answering questions regarding networking / router setup and securing Wifi.

Date: Monday, November 5th, 2018 - 7 PM
Location: Applewood Manor
1500 Lansdowne Street West, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
Parking is on the east (right) side. Entrance is at the front of the building.

I think Brian meant the meeting would be tomorrow (Monday, November 5, 2018).
Primary: Desktop Tower with Kubuntu 18.10 on i5-3470 3.2 Ghz with 12 GB RAM, 64 GB SSD for OSes, 4 TB RAID-10 array for programs/data

Secondary/Test: Toshiba Satellite Ultrabook Z830-00K w/ Linux Du Jour, (i3-2367M 1.4 GHz, 4GB DDR3, 128GB SDD)

If you can't make it, Brian, we can probably muddle along without you. I have some networking knowledge so can probably handle some questions.

Thanks, Jason. I was particularly impressed with the adjustable window tiling feature that you demonstrated. I wish that Ubuntu and Mint would pick that up from them.
