Linux Distros Periodic Table
« on: October 03, 2017, 06:14:35 pm »
Bill actually shared this earlier. I tried to attach the actual JPG and ended up breaking Bill's post due to some weird bug. When you'd click on it, you'd just get a blank screen (insert Taylor Swift reference here). Weeeeeird. Just remember our motto - if it ain't broke, you're not trying hard enough!

The link is really cool. Check it out!

On the Distrowatch web site, there is the above chart. Very nice!  Worth capturing.

Primary: Desktop Tower with LM 18.3 Cinnamon on i5-3470 3.2 Ghz with 12 GB RAM, 64 GB SSD for OSes, 4 TB RAID-10 array for programs/data

Secondary/Test: Toshiba Satellite Ultrabook Z830-00K w/ Linux Du Jour, (i3-2367M 1.4 GHz, 4GB DDR3, 128GB SDD)

I saw it when it came out, but the Periodic Table paradigm doesn't fit in my opinion. I like the horizontal charts better.
Ubuntu 17.10 on 2011 iMac
Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.3 on "late 2015" 5k iMac
Ubuntu 16.04 (Unity, Gnome) and Arch on Dell XPS 13 (4gb RAM, 250gb SSD)
